On first launch, create a PIN (4–12 digits) on the on-screen keypad and confirm it. You'll see a one-time warning: there is no PIN recovery.
After that, the same PIN screen decides what you see:
The address bar doubles as a search box. Icons around it: a lock/magnifying-glass for connection security, a star to bookmark, and a download arrow that lights up when video is found on the page.
The bottom toolbar has back/forward, a + for a new tab, and a numbered square that opens the tab overview.
Open the ••• menu for Bookmarks and History. A blank tab also shows a speed-dial grid of your bookmarks.
Both belong to your real session only — the decoy session never records any.
It's a privacy safety net: if someone asks to look through your phone, entering any PIN other than your real one opens a completely fresh, empty browser instead of an error.
Tap the address-bar download icon to see video found on the page. The first time, you'll see a one-time reminder: only save video you own or have permission to keep — you're responsible for copyright and each site's terms.
Files stay in the app's private storage, never your Photos library, until you export them. Streaming sites with DRM-protected players are deliberately not supported.
••• → Settings covers:
Always on, no setting needed: the app hides its content from the iOS app switcher the instant it's backgrounded, and the toolbar lock icon locks the app immediately on tap.
Deleting the app itself erases everything permanently, including the PIN.
An optional subscription (monthly or yearly, billed through the App Store) unlocks Find in Page and Save Page as PDF. Locked items show a small lock icon in the ••• menu until you subscribe.
Manage or cancel any time in your device's App Store settings, or tap Restore Purchases in Settings if you subscribed on another device.
You can't. There's no recovery, backdoor or reset by design. Deleting and reinstalling the app is the only way forward, and it erases everything.
The lock icon in the toolbar: green is real, red is decoy.
No — it's a browser, so it needs a connection to load anything.
No. Deletions are immediate and permanent.
No. Sites and your network/ISP can still see your requests. The app blocks common ad/tracker domains and runs no analytics of its own, but it isn't a VPN or Tor.
