The short version: Pin Lock Private Browser collects no data about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no trackers and no servers operated by us. Everything the app stores — history, bookmarks, downloads, tabs, settings and your PIN material — lives only on your device, and we have no way to access it.

1. Who we are

Pin Lock Private Browser ("the App") is an independent iOS application. This policy explains what information the App handles and, more importantly, what it does not. Contact for privacy questions: pulsarsandpulsar@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect: none

We do not collect, receive, transmit, sell, rent or share any personal data. Specifically, the App contains:

  • No user accounts or sign-up of any kind
  • No analytics or usage tracking SDKs
  • No advertising SDKs or ad identifiers
  • No crash-reporting services operated by us
  • No servers of ours that the App communicates with

We have no database of users. We could not identify you, look up your activity or hand over your data even if asked, because none of it ever reaches us.

3. Data stored on your device only

To function as a browser, the App stores the following data locally on your device. It never leaves your device through anything we operate:

  • Browsing data — history, bookmarks, open tabs, cookies, caches and other website data created by the pages you visit
  • Downloads — files and videos you choose to download are saved into the App's private, on-device storage
  • Settings — preferences such as auto-lock time, search engine, theme and content-blocking options
  • PIN material — a random salt and an encrypted verifier used to check your PIN (see Section 4)

You can erase this data at any time using Clear Cache & Cookies or Delete Everything in the App's settings, or by deleting the App from your device.

4. Your PIN

Your PIN or password is never stored anywhere, on your device or elsewhere. The App keeps only a random salt and a small verifier that can confirm a correct PIN; the PIN itself cannot be recovered from them. Because of this design there is no PIN recovery: if you forget your PIN, the data protected by it is permanently inaccessible, and we cannot restore it. Entering a different PIN opens a fresh, empty session by design.

5. Websites you visit and search engines

The App is a browser. When you enter an address or search, your device connects directly to that website or to your chosen search engine (DuckDuckGo, Startpage, Brave Search or Google). Those third parties receive your requests — including your IP address — and handle them under their own privacy policies, which we do not control and are not responsible for. The App's ad and tracker blocking is a best-effort convenience feature and does not guarantee that any third party is prevented from collecting data about you.

6. In-app purchases and subscriptions

The App offers optional paid features ("Pro") through auto-renewable subscriptions. All purchases are processed entirely by Apple through the App Store:

  • We never see, receive or store your name, payment details, billing address or Apple ID.
  • Purchase entitlement is checked on-device using Apple's StoreKit framework.
  • Apple's handling of your purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. Network connections made by the App

The App's only network activity is: (a) loading the websites and searches you request, and (b) communicating with Apple's App Store for purchases and subscription status. Nothing else. No telemetry, no "phoning home".

8. Children

The App is a general-purpose web browser and is not directed at children. It is intended for users aged 17 and over, consistent with its App Store age rating. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone — including children — because the App collects no data at all.

9. Your rights

Privacy regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA give you rights over personal data that companies hold about you. We hold none. There is nothing for us to access, correct, export or delete — all of your data is under your direct control on your own device.

10. Changes to this policy

If we ever change how the App handles data, we will update this policy and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
